Sarah MURRU

Sarah Murru, PhD, works at the Interdisciplinary Research Center on Families and Sexualities (CIRFASE) at the University of Louvain (UCL) in Belgium. She is also an Associate Researcher at the Centre for the Study of International Cooperation and Development (CECID), at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). She has specialized in the conceptualization of resistance, in particular through the study of everyday forms of resistance, as well as in the implementation of feminist epistemologies and methodologies and has developed an expertise in Institutional Ethnography. Past research projects include a study of single mother’s resistances in Vietnam. Currently, she is working on the everyday practices performed by children in the context of divorce and shared custody agreements – a comparison between Belgium and Italy.
Sarah Murru, PhD, travaille au Centre Interdisciplinaire de Recherche sur les Familles et les Sexualités (CIRFASE) de l'Université Catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain). Elle est également chercheuse associée au Centre d'Étude de la Coopération Internationale et du Développement (CECID), à l'Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). Elle s'est spécialisée dans la conceptualisation de la résistance, notamment à travers l'étude des formes de résistance quotidiennes, ainsi que dans la mobilisation d'épistémologies et de méthodologies féministes et a développé une expertise en « Institutional Ethnography ». Ses projets de recherche antérieurs comprennent une étude des résistances des mères célibataires au Vietnam. Actuellement, elle travaille sur les pratiques quotidiennes des enfants dans le contexte du divorce et de l’hébergement alterné - une comparaison entre la Belgique et l'Italie.
