BIO

Raffaele holds an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and two Master’s degrees in Economics and Sociology from the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium (UCLouvain).

His research interests lie at the intersection of ecological economics, environmental sociology and economic sociology. More precisely, his PhD research explores post-growth hypotheses and eco-social policies by focusing on nature de-commodification phenomenon, dis-accumulation dynamics and spatio-temporal logics of environmental damage distribution in Latin America.

Previous work and areas of interest span across various domains, including: social and environmental protection systems; identity, subject construction and emancipation; modernity, social norms and deviance; the epistemology of social sciences; economic history; the dynamics of sovereign debt crises ; multidisciplinary.

Key words: Ecological and Social Policy, Extractivism and Natural Resources (water, minerals and land), Anthropocene, Latin America.
